Overview
The most important pilgrim place for Hindus, Amarnath Cave is situated in Jammu and Kashmir State, the temple cave is dedicated to Lord Shiva, located at a height of approximately 12756 feet from the sea level. Thousands of devotees visited this place every year. The holy yatra to the Shri Amarnath Ji is organized by government every year during the months of June and July when the area is accessible. Amarnath is located 141 kilometers away from Srinagar.
The Amarnath Yatra starts from Pahalgam, which is about 90 kilometers away from Srinagar, from Pahalgam, the trail follows the Lidder River and the distance to the Amarnath Cave from Pahalgam is around 42 kilometers. Itinerary
Day 01: Delhi - Srinagar - Baltal
Reach Srinagar via air from Delhi, On Arrival at Srinagar Airport, the spectacular capital city of Jammu Kashmir, you will meet our representative who will assist to transfer to Baltal, which is about 115 kilometers away from Srinagar. On the way just admire the scenic roadways with lush green landscapes along with snowcapped peaks of Himalayas. On arrival at Baltal, check in to the cottage for overnight stay.
Day 02: Baltal - Amarnath Cave - Baltal
Post an early morning breakfast, trek upwards to Amarnath Cave for Darshan. The holly temple cave is located at the distance of about 10 kilometers away from Baltal. Take a dip in Amarnath Stream which flows outside the cave. Within the cave, Sri Amarnath ji created in the form of a naturally created ice Lingam. After Darshan, trek back towards Baltal. Dinner and overnight stay in Camp.
Day 03: Baltal - Srinagar
After breakfast transfer to Srinagar by road. Upon arrival in Srinagar, you will be transferred to houseboats. Rest day is free at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay in houseboats.
Day 04: Srinagar - Jammu - Delhi
After breakfast in the morning and get transferred to the Srinagar airport to board a flight for Delhi.
